Warhammer Underworlds: Thorns of the Briar Queen

The first of the new Warhammer Underworlds war bands. It's the Thorns of the Briar Queen. I used Hexwraith Flames over Pallid Wych Flesh for the "white" parts and Eshin Grey, Nuln Oil and Dawnstone for the black robes. If I did these again, I'd do the skulls the same way I did the arms/lower robes.

Malign Sorcery: Purple Sun of Shyish

The last malign sorcery piece! Yoohoo! It's the biggest of them all, the Purple Sun of Shyish. For it's size, this is surprising easy to paint (mostly drybrushing and washing). When I picture the color scheme I used (dark purple highlighted threw bone up to a touch of lamenters yellow on the tips of the "rays"), I think it's way to garish, but when I see it in person I like it a lot more. This thing is so big that it didn't quite fit in the shelf I usually keep these things in and so had to paint it separately (and store it separately) than the other malign sorcery stuff (hence why it was the last to be painted).
Oddly enough, GW dropped the next set of endless spells on the same day I finished this thing.

Iconoclast Axe

This is probably my favorite objective from the Shattered Dominion Objective pack. It's a giant marble head with a magic axe stuck in it. Did someone kill a Stone Gole? Did some Chaos Lord just leave his axe in a convenient location? It was fun to paint and I think it looks good.

Nightvault Arcane Hazard: Broken Statue featuring an Icon of Nagash

After finishing this piece, I like it more than when I started. It's nothing particularly fancy, but it should look pretty on the Shadespire game board.

Nightvault Arcane Hazard: Throne

This is probably one of my least favorite Arcane Hazards. The seat isn't deep enough, the back of the throne is just weird (it looks like it was never finished). I guess all of the skulls embedded in the seat are kinda cool ... if you like sitting on that type of thing. It's a weird miniature.

Nightvault Arcane Hazard: Sinister Triangular Ruins

Not just pyramids ... sinister pyramids. I'm not sure why they are listed as Triangular Ruins. They aren't very ruined. In fact, they look very intact. I like these, but not sure what they are. Good window-dressing for a arcane dungeon.

Nightvault Arcane Hazard: A Pyre of Skulls

An Underworlds Arcane Hazards piece. It's call the Pyre of Skulls on GW's website. It's a cute little piece which will look good in any number of dungeons.
