Shadespire: Magore's Fiends

Wow! Another Shadespire warband painted. That was fast! It's almost as if I painted them at the same time as The Farstriders!

The colors are almost the same as The Farstriders, the difference consist of the final highlight on the red being Trollslayer Orange, as opposed to Fire Dragon Bright Red, and the Gold was edge highlighted with Stormhost Silver. These also were a lot of fun to paint (although painting both warbands at the same time, made it feel like it took forever). It's the same color scheme I used on the Gorechosen I painted earlier.

This is the last Shadespire warband (until they release some for Version 2 of the game). I'm calling this project complete.

Shadespire: The Farstriders

Finished another Shadespire warband. This time it's The Farstriders. These were oddly fun to paint, and the edge highlighting makes them really pop. I basically follow the same painting guide I used for the Space Hulk Blood Angels I did earlier. Once more, they are members of the "Order of Sigmar's Temples", also known as the Templars.

Shadespire: More Terrain

Here's some more terrain for Shadespire. Like the previous column, all of this was printed on my son's 3d printer. I should have enough to fill an entire board. The printer is not big enough to make the bigger 3 hex terrain pieces, so I printed multiple 2 hex and 1 hex pieces and plan to use them together to make 3 hex obstructions.

Air Elemental

This one is kinda cheating. The only thing I painted was the base. :-)

Shadespire: Spiteclaw's Swarm

Spiteclaw's Swarm from Shadespire. Painted them dark/grey/black (vaguely Eshin like). I think the highlights on the armor are a little stark, I should have used some leadbelcher to ease the transition from leadbelcher+agrax to ironbreaker.

Shadespire: Fyreslayers

Finished the short angry dudes from Shadespire. The Fyreslayers! They were more fun to paint than the one from Silver Tower. I disliked how his golden runes sorta blend in with his skin tone, so I used a lighter skin tone (recipe stolen from Tyler Mengel's article on painting witch elves). Basically  a basecoat of pure white with a thinned down flesh wash and highlights of Pallid Witch Flesh.
I like how they turned out and it was pretty simple to paint. Occasionally I get an urge to paint an army of these dudes, maybe once I finish off all my other projects. :-)

AoS: Moonclan Fungoid Cave-Shaman

Finished the Moonclan Fungoid Cave-Shaman. I like the mushroom "hat", but it does tend to dominate the other features on the miniature.
